We are pleased to announce that we have secured planning approval for the development of a detached dwelling in the Woodbridge conservation area, Suffolk.

The project involves the design of a stand alone 2 storey building, occupying one half of an existing one-acre plot in this exclusive area of Woodbridge.

The new dwelling is rooted in the landscape and responds positively to its context.

The design reflects the aesthetic of the traditional Suffolk Longhouse typology, using a mixture of traditional brickwork, tiling and new modern complimentary barn-like materials.

The 5 bedrooms house is designed to naturally sit in the spacious existing garden, with a sensitive attention to orientation and privacy.

Our approach was sympathetic to the historic character of the area, enhancing the significance of its location in relation to the Woodbridge context.

This project represents an interesting challenge that will result in a house with a unique character and personality.
